What To Expect

Hong Kong is one of the busiest business centers in the world, all thanks to boundless capital, innovation and creativity that seems to stem from it. This Made in HK tour takes you to some of the vital commercial centers that show off the innovation of Hong Kong. With your English or Chinese speaking guide, you'll board the famous and iconic Star Ferry. Your first stop is the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, where a brief history of Hong Kong's commercial history will be waiting. It may surprise you as to how quickly Hong Kong rose to become the major trade hub that it is today. Then you'll see the Ding Ding Tramline. In the time of its creation, it was the first tram system of its kind. Dating back to the colonial period, it was one of the first major signs of advancement in Hong Kong. Afterwards, it's time to head to the Mid Levels Escalators. You might wonder: what makes an outdoor escalator so special? Central – Mid-Levels Escalators are the world's longest outdoor escalators, 800 meters in length and located on a steep hillside. It's famous as one of the major ways that commuters can reach their offices in the central, and is actually a series of interconnected escalators that pass through various areas, with plans to build more. You get a bit of a snack in the next stop: the Cart Noodle. This a la carte noodle option was spawned from Hong Kong independent street vendors, and rapidly gained popularity all over the island, and then all over the world. It's a convenient way to get good food in a short time, and be able to take your meal with you. Finally, you head to PMQ, a famous hub between the streets of Aberdeen, Staunton, Hollywood Road, and Shin Wong, and is well known for creative industries. Here, you'll find numerous local designers, creative events and so much more. This is where your tour ends, with new appreciation of how creative and innovative Hong Kong truly is.
