What To Expect

Experience the art of dyeing using only organic plant matter such as food waste and gain knowledge on natural dyeing. In this class you will come with an understanding of how to work with natural colors to achieve the most vibrant and long lasting results while learning about traditional shibori surface design techniques. Using your chosen fabric and preferred all-natural dyes, you will be guided by a skilled instructor to make your own beautiful furoshiki (Japanese fabric wrap), a scarf, tee, Chinese QiPao, or a Japanese Yukata. This experience is for anyone looking to create and experiment with beautiful colors while doing no harm to the planet, your home, and your body.

    We had a fun time learning some tie dying techniques. We were able to choose from 3 colors - blue, pink and yellow. It was interesting learning about these techniques. I hope to use this knowledge at home.
