No. 47, Wuyue Road, Huqiu District, Suzhou City
  • Shangfangshan National Forest Park is located about 5 kilometers southwest of Suzhou City and is the core scenic spot of Shihu Scenic Area. It has beautiful mountains and waters, and is a Jiangnan rural scenery. You can go outing to enjoy cherry blossoms, and there are many historical sites worth seeing.
  • From late March to early May every year, a Hundred Flowers Festival is held here, with various flowers and birds on display. In early spring, Shangfangshan is a sea of cherry blossoms. At this time, local citizens often set up tents on the large lawn in the park to enjoy the flowers, or enjoy fun and delicious food in the barbecue area. However, by late April, the cherry blossoms are basically withered.
  • The entire scenic area is mainly composed of Shangfangshan, the sightseeing orchard and the forest recreation area. The open-air "Golden Buddha" on Shangfangshan is very eye-catching, but the original cableway to the Golden Buddha has been discontinued. Visitors can climb up along the trail. Shangfangshan is only 92 meters above sea level, so hiking is considered a physical exercise.
  • The Lengjia Pagoda of the Song Dynasty is the landmark and the highest point of Shangfangshan, and there are also historical sites such as Zhiping Temple, Shihu Thatched Cottage, and Qianlong Imperial Road. In addition, there are peacock gardens, various botanical gardens, and special expansion and barbecue areas.
