Seoul School Uniform Rental Experience in Jamsil

Easy to find and only about a 2-minute walk to Lotte World’s main entrance! The person in charge was incredibly helpful and friendly, and he did his best to explain everything clearly in English. Returning the uniforms was just as easy. After 5:30 PM, he provided us with the door code, and our IDs and deposit were safely placed inside our locker for easy collection upon returning the uniforms. I highly recommend this place if you want to experience wearing authentic Korean school uniforms while visiting Lotte World. It made our experience even more fun and memorable!

This is one of the many uniform rental shops within the vicinity of Lotte World. It is a 5-10 minutes walk from the train station exit and we got lost initially trying to find our way. The directions to the shop are indicated in the photos below. There was a variety of uniforms available and the owner was very nice to allow us to try all of them out. However, you might need to allocate at least 30-45 minutes to try them out since the uniforms are arranged according to styles rather than sizes. The owner will assist in taking your measurements beforehand and inform you of your size. Take note that there are 3 fitting rooms within the space.

The uncle who owns the shop is very lovely and kind. He provides information in English and helps to choose outfits very well. The shop is not too difficult to find because it is large. You can observe people going in and out. There is a fairly wide selection of outfits, but the price does not include the jacket; it is only for the shirt, skirt, and tie or bow. Since we chose to include a suit jacket, we had to pay a little extra.

The shop can be tricky to find, but the directions that others had left in reviews were really helpful and made it easy! If you are walking outside from the station, the external stairs down to B1 are just before the CU. This leads you straight in front of the shop - trying to find if from inside is tricky. Bring an ID (not your passport) to leave behind, as well as either 2 x 500 won coins or 1 x 1000 won note (there is a change machine in the store) to lock your locker. The owner was very friendly and encouraged you to try on as much as you wanted to pick your outfit. You can return after hours (between 5:30pm and 9pm) using instructions he gives you. There were lots of colours, options & sizes to choose from and it felt foreigner friendly.

It seems there are similar uniform rental shops nearby, as several people mistakenly came to this one. I'll provide directions from the subway station below. The owner was very kind and made a great effort to explain things to customers from all countries. There were many uniforms, and even if it took a while to decide, they allowed us to take our time trying them on. We had a wonderful time. This shop is highly recommended. There are lockers available to store your belongings after changing. You'll need two 500W coins. You'll leave a 5000W deposit (refundable) and an ID (other than a passport) when you go out. Communication is primarily in English or Korean. For important explanations, such as how to return items, they show you a Japanese instruction manual, so even if you don't speak English, you should be fine. <Directions> Exit Jamsil Station from Exit 4 and go straight. Continue with Lotte Department Store on your left. The shop is on the B1 floor of the adjacent mall called "GALLERIA ARCAD." There's a staircase leading to the basement just before the Starbucks inside the mall, which is visible from the street. Even if you miss it, you can enter the mall and go down to the basement. Look for the shop with the orange sign.

The shop owner is very friendly. Although the store doesn't have a huge selection, they have sample uniform books that you can look through for reference, and the outfits are very clearly put together. You can try on as many clothes as you like, so it's easy to find a style you like. Also, the lockers require two 500-yen coins (there's a change machine inside the locker room). You need to leave a deposit and ID (you can use your driver's license or health insurance card) for the rental. Overall, the process is clear and reassuring.

Convenient location, wide variety of clothing styles, unlimited try-ons, lots of sizes to choose from, and the owner even offers free skirt alterations at the waist. Overall, super great experience!!!! Highly recommend!!!

There were a lot of styles to choose from, so it was a bit overwhelming at first. However, the owner was very kind and helpful, guiding us through the process. He took our measurements and let my friends and me try on all the styles available in our size to see which one we liked best. Afterward, he helped match our partners' uniforms to ours, which was really helpful. The quality of the uniforms was also very nice and comfortable.

Great experience and one of the highlights of our trip. The location is close to LotteWorld but is in the building next door. The guy working at the school uniform rental was very sweet and helpful. He let us try on many different options and altered the clothes for free if we needed any alterations. He has handmade neckties which matched the uniforms. Overall 10/10 experience.
