What to expect
This is an edible museum, concealing the secrets of Sichuan cuisine
- Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine Museum is located in Ancient Town, Pixian County, Chengdu, Sichuan. As an "edible museum," it brings a new museum concept – in addition to using your eyes and ears during the visit, you can also use your mouth and nose.
- The knife skills, cooking techniques, and dish preparation processes of Sichuan cuisine are the core content of Sichuan cuisine's intangible cultural heritage. They are dynamic, experiential, and artistic, and can only be displayed through demonstrations and passed down through teaching.
- Museums should be living entities. Here, there are five main categories: ethnic culture and its carriers, historical sites and architecture, cultural tourism, tourist shopping, and leisure entertainment for knowledge acquisition. The scenic area is divided into the Collection Hall, Sichuan Cuisine Ingredient Display Area, Stove God Temple, Old Sichuan Restaurant Street, Sichuan Cuisine Ingredient Processing Tool Display Area, Interactive Demonstration Hall, and Tea Tasting and Leisure Hall.
