Gyeongbokgung Palace Hanbok Experience, Bukchon Hanok Village, Changdeokgung Palace (including Korean hairstyle)

I booked a premium hanbok rental through Klook for me and my husband. Then I booked the makeup and photography through Instagram. Reservation was very easy and they were responsive on Instagram. We came in at a busy time so it was very chaotic at first but the staff were able to help me with the Hanbok fitting, hair, and makeup. The Chandeokgung palace is just a block away and that was where we met up with the photographer and had the photos taken. We only wore the costume for 2-ish hours due to the heat outside. It was a great experience and the photos turned out really great! Another plus is they have 2 really adorable and calm shop cats 🐱. I recommend this shop for Hanbok rentals.

the rental shop is very near changdeokgung palace and bukchon hanok village. locker, storage, basic hair styling are included in the package. you will just pay extra for the hair accessories, the hat and the bag. check the hanbok’s every detail because have already damage and it is important that you inform the staff so they will not charge it on you. overall experience was great.

It was wonderful to see and roam around the Palace grounds and walk back in time during the Joseon dynasty wearing hanbok. However, we did not find the rental place for the "hanbok" that was included in our ticket so as a result, we rented "hanbok" from another shop. I hope that this matter can be improved. Why not tie up with a hanbok rental shop that's right across the street that is easy to find. The Hanok Village is beautiful, we enjoyed walking in the village, admiring the traditional homes and re-imagining how people lived in those homes during the Joseon era.

Wearing hanbok at Gyeongbokgung Palace was such a beautiful family experience! Walking through the grand gates and courtyards in our colorful hanboks made us feel like we stepped back into the Joseon era. It made the photos extra special and the whole visit more memorable.

I booked a Hanbok experience through Klook, and overall, I was very satisfied and highly recommend it! We originally had a 10:00 AM reservation, but due to a schedule delay, we arrived at 10:30 AM. I suggest messaging the store's Instagram in advance if you anticipate being late; they will help adjust the time. Upon arrival, they will first confirm your order and store your belongings before you begin selecting your Hanbok. The basic package offers many Hanbok styles, and the quality is excellent. I felt it was completely worthwhile without needing to pay extra. If you wish to choose a more premium Hanbok, you can upgrade on-site for an additional 20,000 Korean Won. Women can get a simple Korean hairstyle and one hair accessory for free. Accessories like hats, clutches, and swords can be added for 5,000 Korean Won each. The best part is that the 4-hour rental period starts counting only after you leave the store, not from when you arrive. This allows for a more relaxed schedule to take photos at Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Changdeokgung Palace. The overall service was friendly, and the process was smooth. Highly recommended!

The shop is located at the second floor of the building just across the Anguk Station Exit No. 2 bus stop. The package we got includes a free petticoat but you can only try one outfit. You can avail the hair package for KRW10,000 and bag rental for KRW5,000. There is a free locker for your things with a the lock code that you can set. The location of the shop is near Changdeokgung palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. I suggest to visit first the Bukchon Hanok Village since there is a curfew time of until 5pm to enter the village since it is a residential area. Also the shop closes at 7pm so you should schedule your rentals at least 3pm for a 4-hour rent.

For 2,000 yen, you can rent a standard hanbok for 4 hours. This was plenty of time to walk around the nearby facilities and take photos. We also enjoyed affordable extras, such as a free hairstyle (or an additional 1,000 yen for a hair ornament) and a 500 yen bag rental. The staff were also kind and polite. Beautiful and exquisite hanboks! The rental place is clean and organized. I found the rental cheaper than the others, given that their hanboks are really of premium design.

The location is near to the Anguk Station, although you have to show off and wear the hanbok in streets going to the village and palaces (created a core memory tho esp I'm solo). Hanbok wise, it felt clean, elegant and new.
