- Guests boarding in Osaka can choose to disembark at Kyoto Station and bring their luggage on board. However, please be sure to make a note of this when placing your order so that we can arrange a suitable vehicle, or at least inform customer service one day before departure. - If you are traveling with infants and strollers, please be sure to make a note of this when placing your order so that we can arrange transportation and seating in advance. According to Japanese traffic laws, infants are counted as passengers to prevent overloading. Alternatively, please inform customer service at least one day before departure. - The Arashiyama Scenic Railway operates daily during the peak season of cherry blossoms (March 15-April 8), mid-August (August 10-August 18), the autumn foliage season in November, and the first week of October. It is closed every Wednesday during the off-season and during the winter months of January and February.
- During the off-season, the tour guide can usually assist with purchasing the Sagano Scenic Railway tickets on-site. During peak season, please purchase round-trip tickets from Saga-Arashiyama to Kameoka on the official website at least one month in advance. (Guests who wish to ride the Sagano Scenic Railway are advised to purchase a package including the train ticket or contact customer service in advance so we can better arrange the itinerary.)
- Arashiyama has beautiful natural scenery, local cuisine, temples and gardens, and interesting shops. Guests who do not ride the Sagano Scenic Railway can still enjoy the beauty of Arashiyama at a more leisurely pace.
