If you've only got a day or half a day to spend time in some of Munnar's best sights, this tour will take you to the must-see destinations that you can't miss. From your hotel, you'll be picked up by your driver guide and you first head to the Nursery Garden, where a great variety of exotic flora are being grown, and Jungle Honeybee Nest, which is a surreal sight: a tree loaded with nests of honeybees, each one loaded with fresh honey. At Photo Point, you can capture some snapshots at one of the most picturesque grasslands and shrubbery in Munnar before heading to Mattupetty Dam. This great structure is a storage concrete gravity dam that helps irrigate the many plantations in the area. Both Mattupetty Dam and Gundala Dam are beautiful sights which almost have a fantasy-world feel to them. After lunch, it's off to Top Station, a 1,700m high vantage point that gives you an out of this world view of the rolling clouds and landscapes of Munnar itself. On the way, make sure not to miss the Elephant Arrival Spot, where locals lead their domesticated elephants, a movie filming site, a boating point and an echo point. You will get another tour at this point, to see Yellapetty Estate (for half day tours) or the Team Museum (for full day tours). Then it's off to Eravikulam National Park where you can get a look at some wild animals that may be wandering nearby. At Anamudi Peak, South India's highest peak, you can take the opportunity to take photographs of even more breathtaking views. The next stop is Blossom Park, where many exotic birds flock and flutter about for you to watch, before heading to the see the sun set at Pothamedu. Your tour of Tea Valley ends with a safe drop off back to your hotel.
