This is a must-do tour when you come to Chiang Mai. You can learn about the history and culture of Chiang Mai by going around the temples and markets centered around the Old City. The guide is very friendly and funny and knows a lot about history, so you can ask anything. You can experience various street food and enjoy shopping at the market. After all the tours, you can finish the day with a delicious drink while looking at the Ping River, the heart of Chiang Mai. I hope many people will join this great tour. It would be good to wear sneakers because you have to walk the streets for half a day. It was a very exciting and enjoyable time.
Our guide Bim was very knowledgeable and easy-going! it was wonderful to have her to guide us around the markets - what to have, what to look-out for, where to get some great value massages and gel manicures! It was a shame we got so full too quickly, there was just so much to eat! it was also so helpful to have her explain the stories behind the local cultures and beliefs, including where to place the paper gold on the Buddha statues for good health. Highly recommend !
We ate a lot and visited a few large food markets, trying some Northern Thai dishes. We ended the day at a bar by the river.
Great experience! We enjoyed the food selections and it was great we got to visit several temples around the city. So we really got a tour of Chiang Mai as well. We left the night stuffed and happy! Our tour guide was also knowledgeable about the temples and gave us some fun facts while we toured the temples. He was also awesome in helping us take some great photos!
I get to eat many good food. My fave is eating khao soi and drinking coconut drink beside the river.
The tour included a great mix of cultural sites and food stops with plenty of information provided for both. The guide was very generous with food selection- we had to take some home with us. The city was beautiful at night. Overall a great tour.
Even though it was my second time in Chiang Mai, I was able to go to places I didn't know about, and I was happy to go to a local Khao Soi restaurant. Warorot Market and Chinatown. Having a delicious meal while looking at the Ping River exceeded my expectations. Special thanks to Rain for guiding just the two of us.
When I went, I was the only applicant that day, but I was grateful that they didn't cancel and treated me kindly from the beginning to the end..! I got to eat various delicious street foods that I wouldn't have tried if I had traveled alone, and it was nice that they explained things in detail during the tour. Thank you, Kitty Guide💕
Really nice guide with a good sense of humour and a well planned tour. Made me feel at home in a place I've never been to immediately. For me a must do when visiting Chiang Mai!
Reliable communication of the meeting place. The hotel was slightly outside the pickup range, so I checked in advance. Then, I was told that hotel pickup was not possible and to go to the designated place. I waited for an hour. We left early in the morning, but I didn't know the contact information of the guide, and I was able to contact him after 8 o'clock. I was told to wait there, but the bus never came to the correct place. The guide was desperate to recover because the schedule was delayed. I wanted to go to the end of the two-hour hike, but I was urged to stop halfway because it was very urgent. There was another elderly person, and if I went, she would say she would go too, so I retired halfway. If I had communicated properly and arranged for a large number of contacts on the day, it could have been prevented. The guide had us write our cell phone numbers and dates of birth in the car on the day, but that list could have been made in advance. Personal information was circulated in the car. It should be on individual papers at least.
