Are you ready to seek out the ancient kingdom of Sukhothai? Journey to the past and into Thailand’s first kingdom and capital established nearly 700 years ago. Begin by choosing your desired package and accommodation. Once you’ve arrived from the airport, you will meet hospitable staff who will escort you to your chosen accommodation. After checking in, your first activity will be to dress in traditional Thai costumes. After your photo ops, visit two of the most historically significant sites in Sukhothai: Wat Si Chum, the seat of the massive ‘Speaking Buddha’, and Wat Chang Lom, the ‘temple surrounded by elephants’. Be more immersed in Thai culture and learn how to create your own Buddhist votive tablets and how to cook exotic Thai cuisine. Day 1 ends with a visit to the ruins of the Sukhothai Historical Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a Mini Light and Sound Show—a creative depiction and performance of Thai history and heritage—in the evening. Day 2 starts bright and early by giving alms to Buddhist monks. After breakfast, return to Sukhothai Historical Park and tour around the neighboring village of Sankaloke to see handmade Thai ceramic products. The tour ends at 12:30pm where you will be safely dropped off at the Airport Rail Link Makkasan Station.
