Discover the wonders of the great outdoors with this daytime guided exploration of Hong Kong's Geopark and its surrounding areas. Featuring a stunning coastline that's filled with spectacular land and rock formations formed from volcanic activities millions of years ago, this tour is a must-do for any geology buffs and outdoorsy travelers! Meet up with your guide and group at Central Station's General Post Office, easily accessible via the MTR. Once everyone's all settled, you'll immediately make your way towards the first stop of the tour, Hong Kong Geopark. Marvel at the stunning hexagonal columnar joints, one of the largest geological formations of this kind in the entire world. Continue to walk around the area and take in the view of Long Ke Beach, where you can see sea caves along the coastline, crafted by the wind and water. Take a small path toward the coast and check out the small Hakka village tucked away into a valley formerly used for farming and cultivating rice. Head toward Leung Sheung Wan and pass by three different Hakka villages that are known for fishkeeping because of its ideal location. Enjoy a quick break for lunch as you feast on a delicious seafood meal at one of the local restaurants, before you drop by Tin Hau Temple, used by modern fisherman and their families for offerings. End the tour with a short but scenic boat ride on a traditional junk while you make your way to Sai Kung and see the 250-meter long tombolo connecting it to neighboring Kiu Tau, before the tour concludes back at the city center.
