Get to know the culture and history of Mussoorie with a walking tour that allows you to explore it from ground level. After meeting up with your guide outside of St. Paul's Church, your tour begins, starting with the Church itself, which is a historic site, built by the East India Trading Company. Your next stop is another church, the Kellogg Memorial Church, which replicates the church of the same name back in Wales. You will be taking a more scenic route afterwards, seeing the colors of the Sister Bazaar and the residential and divine area, with all it oaks and pines lining the streets and pathways. A local Prakash store, famous for its cheese, jams and other pantry items, will be your next stop, and you can sample or purchase some of their products yourself. Continuing this tasty road, you'll head to a vintage English bakery, which calls back to the days of colonization, followed by a trip to Mussoorie's local British cantonment. The colonial era left a great deal of history in Mussoorie, which will be evident in the colonial churches and 19th century cottages around the area. As you get closer to the outskirts, you'll be able to enjoy the Himalayas as you stand upon the “red hill” near the area, and capture photographs of the beauty of nature in full panorama. Your last stop is at the Chaar Dukaan, a lane filled with shops and stores.
