What to expect
Discover the quieter side of Thailand while you spend an exciting two hours trying out stand up paddleboarding in the calm waters of Koh Samui. Choose between two different schedules: in the morning to witness the glorious sunrise, or in the afternoon to observe how the setting sun gives way to a night sky full of stars. Get picked up at your hotel (available for selected areas only,) then head to either Bangrak Beach or Choeng Mon Beach, depending on the wind's direction for the day. Once you arrive, take some time to set up by changing into your swimsuit, slathering on some sunscreen, and maybe putting on a hat and a pair of sunglasses, before the fun officially begins! Learn about the basics of standing up on your paddleboard from your English-speaking guide, who is a qualified SUP instructor. Should you have any questions or clarifications, feel free to ask your guide, who will answer you in the best possible way. Head out into the water with your board and paddle, then try to stand up using the tips given to you earlier. You will be accompanied by the SUP instructor at all times, so there's no need to worry! If you have any trouble, your guide will be watching out for you and the rest of the small group to ensure your safety while you're having fun. After a few minutes, you will be standing up on your board and marvel at the stunning sight of the sun rising or setting over the Gulf of Thailand. Feel free to bring your own waterproof camera so you can take photos, but the instructor will also be taking photos of you during the activity and will share digital copies with you, free of charge!

Reviews
We chose the sunset session and We are so glad we did . Fantastic conditions for learning how to paddle board we were Three complete novices and my wife had done some PB on a lake before but as Ian the teacher was excellent within minutes all 4 of us were standing up on the boards and off across the sea .. my two boys ,18 and 21 yrs , really enjoyed this and we finished back at the bar for a deserving drink as the final lights of the day faded. I would 100% recommend this and Ian great company and great teacher .. thank you from the Wrights
Very interesting first experience. My daughter and I were on a sunset trip. On this day, the members of the tour group were both of us. The coach personally and on time picked us up at the hotel. All kinds of worries. Before launching, the coach will give a demonstration on the beach. It is very detailed and interesting. The coaches followed us when we went to stand up the oars and taught how to stay to the left. How to rely on right cutting. How to turn around. very interesting. . Also helped our mother and daughter a lot of photos. This is really an unforgettable memory. There are drinks to drink after the event. Sitting on the beach blowing the sea breeze watching the sunset drinking coconut water. At this moment I feel that life is extremely happy.
Much simpler than imagined, and much more fun than imagined! It's really fun to go out to sea by yourself. Unexpectedly, it will actually be quite far. Coach Ian said that he and his friends will spend three or four days paddling around the island like this. In general, it is highly recommended for partners who do not want to waste too much time and energy and want to have a moderate amount of water activities!
Sunrise paddle boarding was a highlight of our time on Samui. Ian was a great teacher, getting us on the water swiftly with enough confidence to set off. Amazing way to start our morning and highly recommend this experience to everyone.
Very good experience, our coach Lan is professional and patient, and I took a photo of him at sunrise in the morning at Zengmeng Beach. It's really fate, highly recommended
Since I can't swim, I asked in advance if I could wear a life jacket and they said I could. I am very timid and afraid of water, but I was so satisfied that I thought I did a great job💗My husband and I were the only ones who made a reservation, so I was even more satisfied because it was a 2-on-1 class! :) Teacher Ian is so kind~ Thanks to you, I had the most proud and happiest day. It was so simple, so give it a try!!! And I thought it would only work in very shallow areas, but it goes quite far. I was scared, but as long as you don't do anything stupid, you won't fall~ Haha, I over-turned it and fell once, but my feet were fixed and there was no danger because I had a life jacket~ They took a lot of pictures, but it was cloudy that dayㅠㅠ Just like other reviews, it was great. It's a shame I couldn't get a picture...! I want to try it again next time.
it was really a great experience. Ian was really friendly and picked us up on time. He taught us how to paddle as it was our first time doing SUP. We were lucky as two of us were the only participants. The wind was a little strong yet we survived and paddle well. Ian helped and looked out for us when we got drifted away. Also, Ian took nice pictures of us so we don't have to worry about pictures. Overall, it feels a little like kayaking but standing up, using arms, legs and tummy muscle. sunset view was also beautiful. apparently sunset view is beautiful this time of the year and sunrise view are better during mid year. The paddling ended with coconut water, banana muffin to enjoy by the beach of a resort. P.s. To those who wears glasses, no worries. Ian provided a string to hook the glasses so that it won't fall into the sea.
Ian is very experienced and told us that today the east wind is blowing, so the waves wouldn't be too big, and that was indeed the case. The place he took us paddling had a super beautiful sunset, and he was also very patient in teaching us how to paddle & stand up, and he also helped us take very beautiful photos. He is very friendly to SUP beginners and also strengthened our confidence in playing SUP in the future. Thank you, Ian, for providing such a course in Samui.
It’s easy to get started. It’s not hard to go from one beach to another on a stand-up board. The instructor Ian is very friendly and considerate. He will use his mobile phone to take pictures for me. The sunrise is so beautiful!
He was really kind and taught in a very fun way! Please take good photos with great passion. I wore a rash guard because I thought there would be a lot of sunlight, but there was no need for it at all.. haha I think the photos will look prettier if I wear bright colored clothes!
