Day 3 of my Tokyo trip! The weather suddenly turned nice, so I wanted to take a train a bit further out! So, I decided to go to Kawagoe! You can take an express train from Ikebukuro to Kawagoe Station (or Kawagoe-shi Station, which is closer to the tourist attractions). At each station, just show your QR code to the station attendant to pass through! At Ikebukuro Station, I just opened the info desk next to the ticket gate, showed my QR code, and went straight through! It was super convenient. I went around 10 AM and was back in Tokyo by 3 PM! I highly recommend it. If you don't want to walk much in Kawagoe, buy a ticket that includes the bus! Exchange/Usage Guide:

On my last morning in Tokyo, I spontaneously decided to visit Kawagoe and immediately purchased this pass; it was ready for use right away. This pass covers the Tobu Tojo Line train from Ikebukuro to Kawagoe Station. I highly recommend taking the Limited Express train to save time (I confirmed there's no extra Limited Express fee). Note that when using the e-ticket to enter and exit the station, you need to go through the manned gate. For our group of three, only one person needed to show the QR code to the station staff or bus driver. The bus stop bell in Kawagoe is super cute and shaped like a sweet potato, and each one has a different design.

Tobu Kawagoe is a fantastic destination for a day trip from Tokyo. Kawagoe, often referred to as "Little Edo," is a charming town with a rich history and culture. Having a Tobu Kawagoe digital pass makes it more convenient to explore the town.

Coming in July is really hot, and the scorching midday sun isn't ideal for strolling around Kawagoe. For Ogawagiku eel rice, you need to take a number and come back later. Expect to wait about an hour and a half. Note that the restaurant is only open for lunch until 2:30 PM, so they only give out a limited number of tickets. Kawagoe Station itself has plenty to see, so don't take the train to Kawagoe City, which is more remote. Also, the fried loach at Ogawagiku is delicious and a must-try!

Purchase tickets online for direct entry and exit. Simply show the QR code to the driver or station staff when riding the train or bus. Very convenient! Highly recommended for travelers going from Tokyo to Kawagoe. Kawagoe is a small town with a strong Edo-era atmosphere, and it's very pleasant to walk around the alleys. This ticket allows you to travel from Ikebukuro to Kawagoe-shi Station on an express train, which takes about half an hour, making it quite convenient. After exiting the station, it's very easy to get to attractions such as the Bell of Time, Taisho Roman Yume Street, and Kumano Shrine. Plus, you don't need to exchange it for a physical ticket; just show the QR code to the staff to enter and exit the platform, which is extremely convenient.

It is very convenient as we didn’t have to go to some counter to buy the pass. And when we rode the bus or train, we just can show the digital pass only one time for multiple people. Highly recommended if you want to go to Kawagoe without much hassle.

Taking the train from Ikebukuro to Kawagoe is very convenient; just show your QR code to board. Kawagoe has preserved its Edo-era architecture, and you can even find horse-drawn carriages. There are many lovely little shops to explore. I spent the afternoon strolling until dusk, when the streetlights came on, creating a unique atmosphere!
