This was my first trip to Hokkaido. Traveling alone was a bit tiring, but it was a lot of fun.
The JR train pass is good deal. It's easy to change the pass at JR ticketing office. The best of all, you can reserve seats with it.
Redeeming the voucher at the JR counter is very convenient and easy to use, and the counter staff are very patient and can solve any problems immediately.
The Hokkaido Rail Pass lets you explore Hakodate, Asahikawa, and Tokachi easily and worry-free. Unlimited train rides make sightseeing easier. Just swipe and go! Recommended to anyone visiting the Hokkaido area.
I highly do not recommend this itinerary. Basically, I think it is a completely different and deceptive combination. I originally bought the 5-day pass + 2 itineraries because I wanted to travel with a group. Then I saw that there were even 17 options in the itinerary and thought it was a good deal. However, Didn't look very carefully at all the details and redemption periods. When it was time to redeem the itinerary, I discovered that almost all of the original 17 itineraries were unavailable for group tours, including the most expensive ones. Those were only available for winter plans, but if you click on the itinerary itself, in fact, They all offer summer, but the platform does not allow summer itineraries to be included in the redemption range. The remaining attraction tickets are basically only worth between 100-700, so we actually lost money to buy the pass and couldn't exchange it. Specify the amount. The customer service is also very negative. They only say that if we redeem JR PASS, there is no other way to help us. So far, they have not directly removed the applicable pass information at the bottom of the summer plan page. I think it is extremely easy to mislead. consumer. I hope you won’t fail to see clearly like us, and then make the whole trip disappointing. You also buy a plan that won’t pay back at all, and then encounter customer service staff who won’t help you at all and only talk about it in a bureaucratic tone. Extremely disappointing in the process.
Used the Klook Pass to purchase both JR Pass Sapporo-Furano (4 days) and JR Pass Sapporo-Noboribetsu (4 days). So much cheaper than purchasing separately, and also using promo code for discount. Easily exchanged for the tickets at the JR Information Counter in CTS Airport. Can also use the JR Pass for unlimited reserving seats on the Ltd Express Train.
Why is there only one option for 2 passes? I bought 2 passes.

too bad we were not able to use the Hokkaido pass because we got sick. however, we book other activities here when we feel better but price is cheaper in the Hokkaido pass
