    Aside from their rich culture, iconic landmarks, and impressive shopping hubs, Thailand is also famous for their food. Succulent, flavorful, and aromatic - these are just some of the words that best describe Thai cuisine. It's no wonder that Thai food became a global favorite! From the classic Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong to the world-famous mango sticky rice and Thai milk tea, many people have become huge fans of Thai dishes, including celebrities and personalities.

    1. Him Tang - Anthony Bourdain

    Him Tang was among the Thai restaurants that the late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain visited in his documentary show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown Thailand. But a little warning though, this place is fit for the more adventurous-type of foodies. Anthony described the place as, "A restaurant showcasing one of the distinguishing elements of Northern Thai cuisine." This food stop is a popular one in Chiang Mai, added Thai food specialist Andy Ricker who was accompanying Anthony then. During their visit, they ordered grilled pig tail, northern Thai herbal pork sausage, pigs brain, and raw blood soup.

    2. Café Thieves & Bar - Lisa of BLACKPINK

    If you're a Blink, then you'll surely love this next one! Did you know that Lisa of K-pop sensation BLACKPINK once visited Cafe Thieves and Bar in Thailand? In fact, the Thai restaurant even went on to post a thank-you message for the K-pop superstar. In the post, they described Lisa as pretty, courteous and well-mannered, and that she didn't seek special treatment from them even when they offered.

    3. Kay's - Julia Barretto

    Filipina actress Julia Barretto shared that she had brunch at Kay's, a Thai restaurant that offers breakfast meals, sandwiches, bowls, pastas and desserts. Some of the dishes they serve include Shakshuka or poached eggs in tomato sauce, Lobster Toast, Crab Arrabiata, Duck Confit, Beef Bowl, and Kay's Olive Cheese Tart. Yum!

    4. Aksorn - Julia Barretto

    Another Thai restaurant that Julia Barretto tagged in one of her foodporn pics on IG was the Aksorn. This fine dining Thai restaurant is being run by Chef David Thompson. They serve full-course meals, which include appetizers, dish starter, mains, desserts, and a last dish to finish.

    5. Jay Fai - Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla

    You must have heard about Jay Fai already. It's a Michelin-starred Thai food spot that was featured several times in the media, including the Netflix series Street Food Asia. During her recent vacation in Thailand, Filipina actress Kathryn Bernardo made four attempts before she and boyfriend Daniel Padilla finally scored seats at the sought-after Jay Fai. Kathryn and Daniel recommended trying their favorite crab omelet and crab curry dishes.

    7. Nun's Restaurant - Jen Barangan

    One of the Thai restaurants that popular influencer Jen Barangan visited, as featured on her Thailand food trip vlog was the Nun's Restaurant in Chiang Mai. This food stop serves authentic Thai food, and with vegan options too. The vlogger had Thai milk tea, Pad Thai, pineapple fried rice, and chicken in coconut soup.

    Filipino celebrity couple Kim Chiu and Xian Lim had the time of their lives at Amanpuri. A luxury resort in Phuket, Kim and Xian enjoyed flavorful Thai food during their stay. Among the meals they ordered included a chicken dish, tempura, and tuna rolls.
